FLESH MECHANIC XL is what I need this review column to be, because there's not enough space to describe how amazing all the songs on this record are. The Other Side with the beautiful vocals, upbeat instrumental part yet slightly darker lyrics, or Egomaniac, the funkiest shit I've heard this year with those tasty bass licks, or Time, the Main Villain with that sort of minimalistic cinematic structure, or Morningstar with that smoother-than-smooth blend of synthwave and modern mainstream electronica, or... Favorite track: Egomaniac.

Smothered by the way you are While you’re smiling, I’m dying I really tried and I can’t do it anymore Just sort of sit and watch you puppeteering I don’t think you mean to be this way, can’t hear me Whenever I try to explain I’ve leveled up You tell me I’m still a kid, I’ve had enough So I drilled down to my basics, what do I believe in? Got in my head for a minute, felt a journey begin Something unleashed, now the fire’s on It’s not going out I made a plan to become the human you made me doubt I made it to the other side The one you told me not to try I’m basking in that neon light I’ve learned what’s right for me, may be wrong for you Fight with me, try to leave a bruise And I’m not mad about it I just want out of your grip I live a different life I made it on the other side Covered with the battle scars Sorry I won’t be what you dreamed I hope that someday you will see my heart I made it to the other side The one you told me not to try I’m basking in that neon light I’ve learned what’s right for me, may be wrong for you Fight with me, try to leave a bruise And I’m not mad about it I just want out of your grip I live a different life I made it on the other side

about

An uncanonical ode to the free souls of apathy and lethargy.

I've been working on this release for quite some time, it's definitely different from anything else I've done so far. I wanted to take a temporary departure from Victor's story to do a more fun and less serious multi-genre release. Don't consider this a permanent shift in style but more testing the waters with the presence of different subgenres of electronic and hip hop.

This release was influenced by the works of Jean Michel Jarre, SebastiAn, Jinsang, Richard Linklater, Grandmaster Flash, Edgar Wright, Tommy Guerrero and Neil Cicierega.

Take it easy, much love.
